WOMEN’S VOICES – STORIES TO STAGE. New short plays written and directed by women, wonderfully telling stories of women and their journey to identity and independence. Very entertaining evening, especially the vital lessons from Modern History presented by Mrs Chisholm and the Female Home” as directed and written by Margaret Fitzgerald. Superb cast, with a fine and memorable performance delivered by Alannah Robertson as Caroline Chisholm.

“High Above the Clouds”
Beautifully constructed drama about a 1852 South Australian True Crime on the goldfields. Re-live the famous case from 1873, 25 years old murderer, Elizabeth Woolcock, fully exposes her murder method whilst delving into her life and times, when aged 4 18 21 25, as she awaits her death sentence for her husband’s murder.

“An Apple”
Our so called welfare state. Feeling Guilty to be wondering why any woman needs to beg for money? Homeless woman, Miss Bligh has an awkward brief meeting with someone she used to know when she was a teacher. Are all my assumptions showing? Dialogue driven drama, with all their thoughts being spoken aloud.
