WESTPAC OPEN AIR CINEMA : THE SENTIMENTAL BLOKE

For one night only on 15 February, the talented Aria Award winning Paul Mac will perform live his newly created score for the world premiere of the restored Australian classic The Sentimental Bloke.

Filmed in Sydney locations including the Botanic Gardens, Central Station and Manly Beach, “The Bloke” provides a view of Sydney 100 years ago.

The Sentimental Bloke was produced and directed by Raymond Longford, it’s generally considered the greatest Australian silent film, and one of the best Australian movies of all time.

NFSA – National Film and Sound Archive of Australia has digitally restored the iconic Aussie silent film to commemorate it being 100 years since its initial release.
