THE S-WORD AND WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY 2019

“Is there anything you want to know about suicide but are too afraid to ask?” This event challenges the stigma and taboo of “the S-Word”, held in a relaxed outdoor setting at Circular Quay.

The Big Anxiety is proud to partner with Lifeline on a special event for World Mental Health Day on 10 October, when Lifeline’s crisis support volunteer team host The S-Word: one-to-one informal conversations addressing your fears, inhibitions or anything you may want to ask about suicide and mental distress.

Sydneysiders can visit and talk in the informal setting of the Tallawoladah Lawn outside the MCA and share thoughts and questions to learn from the experiences and practical expertise of the Lifeline team.

Please note that this event provides supportive discussion but it is not intended to replace crisis support or counselling. Those in need of immediate help, contact Lifeline on 13 11 14.
