THE RESERVOIR ROOM : SYDNEY’S FIRST VIRTUAL VENUE

Sydney’s first virtual venue THE RESERVOIR ROOM opens this Friday 5 June at 8pm with FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE hosted by CATHERINE ALCORN and RODGER CORSER.

FRIDAY NIGHT LIVE is a brand-new variety show featuring special guests, artist interviews and exclusive live performances directed by legendary TV director Ted Robinson and the GNW team.

On Saturday 6 June multitalented film and television star TIM DRAXL performs his beautiful tribute, “The Chet Baker Journey”.  Headlining the first live music slot at 9.30pm will be Australian rock royalty, PHIL JAMIESON of Grinspoon fame.

Every Friday and Saturday night audiences will tune in from their lounge rooms and be transported to an intimate theatre experience entertained by the nation’s most loved entertainers along with fresh faces from theatre, live music, cabaret and drag directly via this newly created digital platform.

In week 2, stage and screen star URSULA YOVICH will perform her cabaret hour at 7.30pm followed by the eclectic stylings of iOTA at 9.30pm, giving audiences their taste of live rock that’s been sorely missed on the Sydney scene of late.

Other artists confirmed to appear include Ben Mingay, Wharf Revue stars Phil Scott and Jonathan Biggins, Erika Heynatz, Ilan Kidron (The Potbelleez), Mark Trevorrow, Blake Bowden, Marney McQueen, Matt Copley, Verushka Darling, The Divine Miss Bette, Ben Gerrard, The James Sarno Quintet with many more to be announced. Daniel Edmonds (9 to 5, CHICAGO, Dream Lover) will Musically Direct Friday Night Live.

Born from the necessity to resurrect Sydney’s live entertainment scene, a dedicated group of industry professionals have collaborated on THE RESERVOIR ROOM – a hidden gem located within the iconic Paddington Town Hall. The show will go on!
