SYDNEY OPERA HOUSE REOPENS ITS DOORS WITH A VIBRANT PROGRAM

The Sydney Opera House today announced an exciting next step in welcoming audiences and visitors back to the site with a program of unmissable live events set to start in two weeks. 

The line-up includes the return of Antidote – the Opera House’s annual festival of action, ideas and change that will bring together thought-leaders from around the world to reflect on 2020 – along with an inspiring and diverse calendar of First Nations culture and storytelling, comedy, jazz, kids shows and independent local artists, curated by Sydney Opera House Presents. Resident companies will also make their return next month when the Sydney Theatre Company takes to the stage with its production of Rules for Living.

For the first time, the Opera House and award-winning Bennelong restaurant will offer visitors the opportunity to enjoy the finest food and wine, with performances by musicians including from the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Australian Chamber Orchestra. YULUGI + JEREMY ROSE DOUBLE BILL @ LAZYBONES LOUNGE

‘Chasing Stars To The Mother Tree’ is the debut release from Yulugi, a fresh collaboration between Gamilaroi and Wakka Wakka man Gumaroy Newman and British-Australian composer Keyna Wilkins launching on Wednesday 28 October at LazyBones Lounge.

The launch double bill will also feature the Jeremy Rose Quartet, with Jeremy Rose, tenor saxophone, Steve Barry, piano; Noel Mason, bass; and Alex Hirlian, drums.

With a lineup of some of Sydney’s best jazz artists, this is a night not to be missed.

Heavily attended by a mixed audience of all ages from small children to grandparents this was a sensational concert to launch the new CD of the same title by Nicholas ( Nick) Russoniello .The warm acoustics of the converted church with luminous stained glass windows were splendid and it was a fine performance of virtuoso playing .

Russoniello was supported by the magnificent Acacia Quartet who were in splendid form .It is a rather unusual combination , string quartet and saxophone soloist but it works brilliantly . Continue reading Between Worlds
