BE YOU : A CHARITY HEALTH AND FITNESS EVENT @ THE BONDI PAVILION

BE YOU is a morning designed to empower, inspire, motivate and celebrate YOU, whilst raising money to support the work of The Butterfly Foundation.

The morning will involve the following:

Session 1: A sweat session led by the Monique Craft, founder of BodyCraft Health and Fitness. This session will get your heart pumping and endorphins racing.

Brunch: It will then be time to refuel! You will be treated to a brunch full of delicious food and thirst quenching beverages, take some time to chat to one another, snap some selfies (remember to #beyouevent) and meet our lovely instructors.

Session 2: After brunch make your way to your mat for a calming yoga flow led by yogini Becky Power of Becky Power Yoga.

There are limited tickets available and the first 75 registered will receive a gift bag.

LAWRENCE LEE AND SIANG CHING NGU IN RECITAL @ THE CONCOURSE

In early April, good friends and very talented musicians, violinist Lawrence Lee and pianist Siang Ching Ngu, will present a charity concert entitled TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH MUSIC during which they will play works by Brahms, Kreisler, Tchaikovsky, Falla, Sarasate and Piazzolla at the Concourse.

All proceeds from the recital will go to a very good cause, Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy Australia; a not-for-profit organisation providing Clinical Musical Therapy and Community Music Programs.

Nordoff-Robbins runs numerous programs aimed at transforming people’s lives through music including musical therapy for special needs schools and aged care facilities, running music clubs for people with a disability, as well various training and education programs to spread the influence of music through the broader community.

The concert TRANSFORMING LIVES THROUGH MUSIC will take place on Wednesday 5th of April, 7:30 pm at the Concourse Chatswood.

THE DAYDREAM BELIEVERS : SYDNEY’S ONLY ALL INCLUSIVE CHOIR

The Daydream Believers choir, the brainchild of Barbara Beinart Pashut, is an Affiliate Choir with Creativity Australia, is  a wholly inclusive choir who welcome everybody – there are no auditions. Everybody is welcome! You just have to have a love of singing and of being part of a community.

On Sunday 30 October the choir will celebrate its eighth anniversary concert at the COA at 2 pm. ACT IV THEATRE COMPANY TO PRESENT THE NAKED TRUTH @ BLOOD MOON THEATRE

Naked Truth

Act IV Theatre Company have announced that in early April they will be presenting the the Australian premiere of Dave Simpson’s THE NAKED TRUTH.

Act IV describe the show as Coronation Street meets The Full Monty as five women struggle hilariously to conquer pole dancing in a bid to raise money for breast cancer research.

One of the doyennes of Australian playwriting David Williamson has contributed to Playwriting Australia’s group play experiment

Playwriting Australia, the national organisation supporting new writing for the stage, is presenting the inaugural Chain Play, a celebrity fundraising gala crammed with the best playwrights and theatre artists from around the country.

Twenty of Australia’s most exciting and celebrated playwrights will join forces to offer Sydney audiences a raucous night of group creativity.

The way that CHAIN PLAY works is that each writer has been asked to contribute a scene of a brand new play. Once the nominated playwright has written the opening scene then he/she passes the play onto the next playwright to write their scene and so it goes until the play has been completed.
