CASTLE HILL PLAYERS TO RETURN IN 2022

 

The Management Committee of Castle Hill Players (CHP)  has  made the difficult decision, in the wake of the difficulties and uncertainties around Covid to cancel the remaining three plays of the 2012 Season. “Cancellation is always disappointing, said CHP spokesperson Annette Snars. “However, the reality if that it buys us time to get organised and return bigger and brighter in 2022.’ She continued, “I can tell you our first play  will be ‘Entertaining Angel

“This much loved and hugely anticipated play will kick off a brand new year with witty dialogue and an eclectic group of characters  offering a very English comedy that’s profound, absorbing and thoroughly entertains.”

The remainder of the 2022 season will be announced soon, but one thing is for certain: Castle Hill Players will again, as they have for over 55 years, present quality theatre  at The Pavilion Theatre,

CASTLE HILL PLAYERS PRESENT A BAD YEAR FOR TOMATOES

For a fun night of madness & mayhem Castle Hill Players A BAD YEAR FOR TOMATOES is just the thing. Written by John Stanley in 1973 the director Meredith Jacobs has filled the stage with a collection of crazy characters that keep the audience entertained and laughing to the very end.

The central character is Myra Marlowe, a television actress fed up with the demands and pressures of her career, who leases a cottage in the tiny hamlet of Beaver Haven in order to escape Hollywood and write her autobiography. The role requires an actor who can carry the entire show on her shoulders and Annette van Roden does just that. She is wonderfully cast and very believable in her role.
