MARVELLOUS SNAKE BOY is a brand new solo comedy show written and performed by Alexander Richmond, one of the creative minds behind this year’s hit show HOLT THE MUSICAL. (SAG Review)

Snake Boy has very unique format allowing it to stand out from other solo shows at the Sydney Fringe festival.  Alex portrays the title character of the Snake Boy, for the entirety of the show and begins each night with little knowledge of how human language and movement work.

Over the course of the 50 minute runtime, Snake Boy is taught by the audience about both of these things throughout the course of musical and interactive sketches. Although this is an interactive show, no one should feel nervous to sit in the front row of Snake Boy, Alex has attempted to construct a character and a comedy show that does not pick on the audience, and instead tries to coax them in to join in on the fun.

MARVELLOUS SNAKE BOY  from Baby Boy Bolognese [Facebook] will play at the Factory Theatre at 7pm on the 30th of August and 1st of September as part of the Sydney Fringe Comedy Festival.

With thanks to the Baby Boy Bolognese, Sydney Arts Guide has a double pass to give away. The pass is to the Thursday 30th of August, 7pm performance.

To be in the running to win a double pass to MARVELLOUS SNAKE BOY, email (editorialstaff.sydneyartsguide@gmail.com)

Competition closes midnight Sunday 26th August, 2018 when the winners will be drawn. Only winners will be notified and the winner's name will be at the box office on the day of performance.

Do it.  Just do it.  Make sure you do it.  Just don’t do what I did afterwards.

Go see HOLT, THE MUSICAL because it’s a rippingly good time. Great songs, not too many, well penned music that gets along swimmingly with the dialogue.  Shark sharp performances, not one of the principal cast is treading water, and an ensemble, crew and musicians who create that warm bubble around them.  And no water joke unfloated. Jetpack presents Rhinoceros (image by Patrick Moran Photography)
You hear something rumbling and thundering in nearby alleyway. It’s getting closer, it seems to be… trumpeting. You could have sworn it was a person just a moment ago. It charges past you, large, raucous, grey. You jump out of the way, and watch it fade it into the distance. If it weren’t such a silly idea, you would have said it looked not unlike a Rhinoceros. No-one else seems to think so. But then again, everyone else is also a rhinoceros. What would they know?
