SWEATY PITS-PITY PARTY: SYDNEY DEBUT AT THE FRINGE

SWEATY PITS-PITY PARTY is making its Sydney debut!

Two friends peruse their dream of creating a sketch show that encapsulates their messages of equality, anger, and love…while still being silly buggers. But among the squirting citrus, the 80’s aerobics, and the magic mike strip routines, they realise their dreams might be a little out of reach.

Frances McNair and Miriam Slater wrote their first sketch together in 2016, after which they decided to combine their true loves (comedy and each other) and give birth to the sketch comedy duo “Sweaty Pits”. Their writing is a cocktail of serious social issues and absurd comedy, tackling the issues they hold dear to their hearts with a positive and energetic energy, leaving the audience with a belly full of laughs as well as a message.

In 2017 they were in RAW Comedy ACT state final with their sketch “MILF Camp”. They have sold out shows and performed at arts festivals such as, Floriade Fringe Festival, YOU ARE HERE, Art Not Apart, and the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

It’s comedy, it’s burlesque, it’s slap stick, it’s Sweaty Pits’ debut show, it’s harder than they thought.  A sketch show for those who question what they are doing with their lives and then do it anyway.

SWEATY PITS-PITY PARTY  [Facebook] is showing for two nights only, 8th – 9th September 2018, at the Factory Theatre as part of Sydney Fringe Comedy FestivalTickets available soon.
