SKELETON TWINS

Pic1THE SKELETON TWINS stars two successful television comedians, Kristen Wiig and Bill Hader, who are USA “Saturday Night Live” regulars. They play the roles of the dysfunctional fraternal twins (Maggie and Milo) who after ten years apart and not speaking to each other, are now brought together because they both cheat death on the same day.

THE SKELETON TWINS grew up in a broken home, the major cause of their messed up lives. Through these flawed twins, we vividly explore their loves, losses, and better ways to cope with the real challenges of living adult lives. Get ready to laugh and cry, as the twins take a journey of discovery, to re-build their shattered lives. With perfect timing and inspired teamwork, Starship’s 1987 hit song “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now” is mimed by the twins.

One secret to creating great comedy, is when it is drawn from a very dark place. The twins shine together, adding to the delightful charm of the story as they re-connect, and the chemistry of the two leads really carries the movie, but the predictable ending is just too “Hollywood”.

Directed by Craig Johnson and stars Kristen Wiig, Bill Hader, Boyd Holbrook, Luke Wilson, Ty Burrell, Joanna Gleason, Kathleen Rose Perkins.

OFLC rated: M (Mature themes, coarse language, sexual references and drug use), 93 mins.
