The Newsagency doesn’t waste time when it comes to entertainment.  THE SIDESHOW FESTIVAL is setting up stall for 2019, beginning the year with a grab bag of variety.

The Newsagency, called “a charming little live music venue” by SAG reviewer Mark Pigott, has assembled an eclectic  bunch of artists offering a unique view of life and indie arts in Sydney… opening Jan 5 with an out-of-towner.

River Matthews is one of the most loved new songwriters to come out of the UK. The Woodford Folk Festival team have brought him to Australia to introduce him to Australian audiences. He is joined by  the mad Scotsman from Alice Springs, Colin Lillie, in an intimate night of great original music.

SIDESHOW will then present music and comedy including ‘The Songs that Got Away‘  when the NIDA 2018 Music Theatre Cohort present a night of cabaret full of the solos they never got to sing! The Festival ends with the traditional Summer Mixtape on January 25. This is how we saw it last year.

Tickets are now selling for all events and you can see THE SIDESHOW FESTIVAL lineup  here and you can find out more about The Newsagency at their website and Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.  74-76 Pyrmont Bridge Road, Camperdown NSW 2038
