As an adjunct to the ABC Community Art exhibition held at the B’nai B’rith Centre in Kensington last Sunday, Peter Rozario, metal work sculptor and exhibiting artist, ran a Metal Sculpture workshop for community artists.

Participants were given materials and the opportunity to create their own sculptures. Peter introduced 3 different types of metal, describing the structure of the material and demonstrating ways it could be fashioned for sculptural purposes. Bending, hammering and drilling resulted in pleasing sculptures taken home by attendants.

Peter Rozario studied Welding & Sculpture at the National Art School and has exhibited in group exhibition around Sydney. He also was one of the finalists in the Artentwine Sculpture Biennial Tasmania 2018.

His contemporary abstract sculptures embrace time; past, present and future. He uses a freestyle concept whereby his sculptures create themselves to be part of art history.

Peter’s sculptures are on exhibit at the Rex-Livingston Art and Objects Gallery in Katoomba.
