MUSICAL ISLAND: A SILENT SPELL will have its world premiere at the Sydney Fringe.

Magic Sounds Productions are shaking up Sydney’s theatre scene with a boisterous blend of digital animation and live action performances.  MUSICAL ISLAND: A SILENT SPELL is an original  musical to bring smiles and magic melodies to miniature maestros, kidults and the young at heart alike!

The all-singing, all-dancing inhabitants of Musical Island are under threat from the tragically misunderstood Queen of Silence, as she hatches a plan to prevent the lyrical larrikin Prince Major from writing any more of his meddling merry melodies! It falls to Princess Minor and her ragtag rabble of musical mates to rescue Prince Major, and save Musical Island from a sinister silence…

Creative collaboration carries the day in Magic Sounds Productions’ partnership with thirty animation students from Sydney’s SAE Institute. Representing fundamental musical concepts to educate and entertain your youngsters, their harmonious heroes match minds and melodies against the Queen of Silence’s music-less future. Their only tools are new and fresh toe-tapping original tunes- the charismatic cast will have you singing along too!
