(MISERY’S) FEATS OF THE LITTLE KNOWN : AN ODDBALL COMEDY

Think The Simpsons season 2, episode 4 ‘Two Cars In Every Garage and Three Eyes On Every Fish’. It’s the one with the little orange fish with three bulging eyes. Except instead of Blinky The Three-Eyed Fish, imagine a person … with three noses or … spatulas for hands.

Misery owns The Vile Hotel, a scrapheap in the dead centre of The-Town-In-A-Post-Disater-State. A town where perhaps a nuclear reactor overreacted. Pollution mutates the living and the landscape is stuck in a discombobulated transfiguration. When a guest of the The Vile Hotel raises a complaint about the uninvited enigma in room 3, Misery crafts a plan to “sort the sucker out” and perhaps put the ‘unity’ back in community or … finds one where there wasn’t one before.

(Misery’s) Feats Of The Little Known is a new Australian work inspired by Bouffon and other practices developed by Jacques Lecoq. It is a satirical commentary on the human condition … and the conditions we live in, under and all over.

This oddball comedy pushes back against the naturalistic portrayal of (wo)mankind and identity that is currently on some of our main stages.

Who are we if we aren’t what we are?

Supporting emerging artists of all identities.

Inviting audiences of all identities.

Let’s get weird…
