Andrew Symes is perfect in the iconic and very demanding role of Jean Valjean.
Delivered with aplomb and performed with absolute panache, the wickedly and very cynically manipulative hoteliers, Monsieur Thénardier and Madame Thénardier are played by Gavin Leahy and Cheryl O’Brien. Each had all the required flamboyant confidence, exhibited by the perfectly paired husband and wife team. Act One their rollicking dastardly deeds heard in “Master of the House” and in Act Two they flamboyantly reinforced their wicked and cruel deeds with “Beggars at the Feast”.
Musical Director, Mark Cranston Reid dramatically conducts the full professional orchestra, and vividly brings all of the magnificent scores’ infinite delights, and the very well remembered songs and breathtaking melodies. Highly recommended.
