On Friday 5 October, Foundry616 presents a all-night marathon of music.

Starting at 8pm with Australia’s own Ethio-Soul superstar Dereb The Ambassador with his special brand of electrifying, kaleidoscopic vintage soul, followed by the launch party of a new late-night music program Midnight Sun which will feature Sydney’s best established and emerging acts every Friday night.

Midnight Sun will dove-tail Foundry616’s evening show which will now regularly commence at 8pm and close at 10:30pm. Musical performances for Midnight Sun will begin at 11:30pm until late.

The new late-night program is part of the City of Sydney’s late-night economy grants which were established to help existing venues put on more live music and varied programming.

The grant has enabled Foundry616 to utilise its facilities into the night, widening its audience and supporting the City’s broader music scene.

Four curators, including guitarist and one-time Artistic Director of the former Jazzgroove Association Ben Panucci, will program across Sydney’s diverse and thriving music scene. The project aims provide an opportunity for people looking for late night music and dining to experience high-quality music across a range of genres including indie, jazz, neo-soul, alt-rock and hip hop.

Audiences of  Foundry616 [Facebook] are encouraged to take advantage of these special consecutive events. Ticket holders for Dereb The Ambassador [YouTube] receive free entry to Midnight Sun and are encouraged to stick to hear indie band MICRA supported by rapper/vocalist Mirrah [YouTube]  (live band) and Scrffamudda (late night set). All happening on Friday 5th October, 2018
