JACQUELINE MACKENZIE TO STAR IN NEW STC PRODUCTION

The Sydney Theatre Company announced this week that one of Australia’s finest actresses Jacqueline McKenzie has taken on the role of Alice in its upcoming Australian premiere production of MOSQUITOES after the withdrawal of Anita Hegh. She will join a cast comprising Mandy McElhinney, Jason Chong, Charlie Wo and Annie Byron. Rehearsals for this production started this week.

MOSQUITOES has been described as a perfectly focused family drama woven together with big questions about the universe and our very existence. British playwright Lucy Kirkwood is said to have ‘tackled giant themes with a swaggering showmanship’ (The Telegraph UK).

MOSQUITOES opens at the Drama Theatre, Sydney Opera House on Friday 12th April and will play until the 18th May, 2019.
