FESTIVAL OF DANGEROUS IDEAS : UNFORGIVABLE

An exclusive collaboration between young Australian leaders, activists and performers will take to the stage at the 10th Festival of Dangerous Ideas (FODI) to showcase the power of youth in an exclusive performance titled UNFORGIVABLE.

And in a true FODI-style twist, audience members are asked to pay what they believe listening to the leaders of tomorrow is worth by determining the ticket price themselves.

UNFORGIVABLE aims to ignite change through a collective youth voice giving the audience an opportunity to listen to some of Australia’s most compelling young leaders.

Voicing their fears and dreams for Australia and their future will be climate change activist Daisy Jeffrey (17 y.o.), teen campaigner for non-binary gender identities Audrey Mason-Hyde (14 y.o.) mental health advocate Seethal Bency (21 y.o.), campaigner against Indigenous incarceration Dujuan Hoosan (13 y.o.) and journalist Dylan Storer (16 y.o.).

The provocative session will feature the music of Spinifex Gum performed by the Indigenous girls’ vocal ensemble Marliya Choir. Spinifex Gum is a musical collaboration between Felix Riebl (Cat Empire), Lyn Williams (Gondwana Choirs) and Deborah Brown that has drawn strong acclaim as it challenges audiences with songs examining issues that matter to us all.

UNFORGIVABLE will take place at Sydney Town Hall, 483 George Street, Sydney on Saturday 4th April, 2020.between 11.30 am and 1pm.
