BONDI FEAST : THE ETERNITY OF THE WORLD (PARTS MISSING)

Nope.

No way.

Didn’t understand it.

Didn’t get it.

Can’t review it.

Instead.

In the true spirit of deconstructed post-modernist anarchic performance I saw this …

Venue problems … the bane of the touring show. Suggestion: instead of telling people to move away from the speakers just turn the f’ing thing down. Didn’t hear most of it.

Saw it all though. Traverse seating!

Props and costume changes and scripts read from loose papers and set pieces … so a plot, through line, a sequence, a vague structure must exist.

Up to date: they slagged off at a popular Sydney reviewer. Rude!

People left, people stayed. People sat with their arms folded, that might have been me, and others yucked it up.

Very amiable characters, unusual, siblings I believe. Kerith Manderson-Galvin and Tobias Manderson-Galvin. Equally amiable audience members when asked to participate. Post-modern non sequitur: my brother is giving me the shits are the moment. Geoff .. get over it!

Abusive senior citizen, NOT me, really, truly NOT ME, at the Box Office after.

Done.

  1. We spoke briefly as we were leaving “The Eternity”, and I was sitting on your left.. I agree with your review of the 2 shows on the previous days at the beginning of the festival. I am very pleased to now know of this website for reviews.
