AY PACHANGA : GET READY TO SALSA AND CHA CHA AWAY THE NIGHT. GIVEAWAY

AY PACHANGA  returns to Manning Bar in 2019 to celebrate the colourful birth of Salsa in 1970’s New York. A 10-piece all-star band led by Martin Taylor plays the classics of Fania records with the glitter and glamour of dance show flavours of boogaloo, salsa, Cha Cha and more!

Hailing from Cuba and Puerto Rico, witness the fusion of 70’s New York Latin barrio sounds of son cubano, mambo, cha cha cha & guaracha that collided with local popular disco, funk, soul and Jazz. This fusion of rhythms was just the beginning of new hybrids such as Boogaloo, Latin Jazz and Salsa that we know & love today.

Just as the success of soul music was driven by Motown, Fania was a collection of the most influential salsa musicians of their time, such as Willie Colon, Celia Cruz, Larry Harlow, Ray Barretto, Rubén Blades, Héctor Lavoe, Cheo Feliciano, plus more – known still to this day, the pioneers of Salsa Music.

Get ready to dance the night away and be blown away by stellar performances by Buena Vista Dance, Dance Mambo and Studio 101 Dance
