EarFest features a collection of original works from a diverse range of acclaimed artists who create audio-centric work.
They include poets, comedians, rock legends, podcast makers, and performance artists who have each created an original recording no longer than seven minutes.
Each day of September subscribers will receive a link to that day’s piece. Admission is complimentary by registering here, and a voluntary donation to the Shepherd Centre, a charity to help deaf or hearing-impaired children, is welcomed.
The thirty pieces were commissioned by EarFest creator Ralph van Dijk, Founder of audio advertising agency Eardrum, and father of ARIA Award winning artist Ruel.
“Covid-19 has devastated the art’s sector”, says van Dijk, “EarFest allows us to celebrate the power of audio but more importantly support those with the skills to harness it at the time they need it most. This format allows lovers of music and spoken word to enjoy an exciting new work each day of September. With everyone guaranteed the best seat in the theatre of their mind.”
