Named in the Top 200 Jazz Clubs in the World by DownBeat Magazine,  Foundry616 offers Sydney music lovers live music, six nights a week.

In June, they are celebrating iconic Australian artists alongside outstanding emerging acts. June at Foundry616 is brimming with big band, jazz legends, global beats, off-world experimental sounds and swooning cabaret.

JUDY BAILEY TRIO, THURSDAY 14 JUNE: Distinguished “Hall of Fame” pianist Judy Bailey OAM’s epic career spans six-
decades. Tonight, her longstanding trio perform classic music about love and the human condition.

THE CATHOLICS, FRIDAY 15 JUNE: Lloyd Swanton’s hugely popular septet return to Foundry616 with their “infectious appeal” (SMH), tonight’s line-up includes drummer Alex Masso (The Vampires) and guitar maestro Bruce Reid.

MARA!, SATURDAY 16 JUNE: A festival favourite, Australian jazz legends perform alongside world music icon Mara to fuse innovative world music and jazz adding “a bright jewel in Australia’s music crown.” (SMH).

DORIAN MODE’S “UNFORGETTABLE: A TRIBUTE TO NAT KING COLE”, SATURDAY 23 JUNE: A sellout homage to
legendary crooner Nat King Cole, this entertaining project features the singer/writer Dorian Mode in an evening of fascinating anecdote and song.

TROUT FISHING IN QUEBEC, THURSDAY 28 JUNE: Legendary ’90s acid jazz dance band Trout Fishing in Quebec, return after many years in hiatus; don’t miss this must-see event.

MARK GINSBURG’S SOUTH AFRICAN PROJECT, SATURDAY 30 JUNE: Celebrating Mark’s native South Africa including
music by jazz pioneers Abdullah Ibrahim, Hugh Masakela and Bheki Mseleku; this soulful project brings together traditional African song, gospel, ragas and contemporary jazz into a vibrant and global sound.
