Everything goes like a dream in this latest production of the celebrated Broadway musical.

Dean Bryant directs and Andrew Hallsworth choreographs  with Caroline O’Connor and Todd McKenney, two legends of Australian music  theatre, headlining the cast supported by some thirty talented and vibrant performers.

The story to ANYTHING GOES concerns the madcap antics aboard an ocean liner bound from New York to London. Billy Crocker is a stowaway in love with heiress Hope Harcourt, who is engaged to Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Nightclub singer Reno Sweeney and Public Enemy Number 13 Moonface Martin aid Billy in his quest to win Hope.

In this much prized show bag there are plenty of twists and turns in the plot, plenty of snappy dialogue, some B grade gangsters, lots of comic moments, and, most of all, the great song and dance numbers.

So many great Cole Porter songs featuring his great melodies and simple but ever so catchy lyrics…I Get A Kick Out Of You, You’re The Top, It’s De-Lovely, All Through The Night and many more.

A great show-stopper was Caroline O’Connor and the Company’s great, big-time gospel version of Blow, Gabriel, Blow.

The show went  out on a  hugely celebratory note with the entire Company singing and tap-dancing to Anything Goes.

Grab yourself a ticket. Try and get some great friends to go with you. ANYTHING GOES, currently playing at the Joan Sutherland Theatre, Sydney Opera House, is the finest, swellest party around!
