ALEXIS FISHMAN RESURRECTS AMY WINEHOUSE IN CABARET

Alexis Fishman resurrects Amy Winehouse in brand new cabaret tribute.  Cabaret star Alexis Fishman is coming home to Australia, bringing with her Amy Winehouse (back from the dead), in a new cabaret tribute show:  AMY WINEHOUSE: RESURRECTED
In the show, Amy Winehouse finds her way back from wherever she went after her untimely death in 2011, after hearing that her idol, Tony Bennett would give anything to record with her again.

She’s ripe for a comeback, even if it’s from the dead. Expect the beehive, the foul-mouth and all of Amy’s hits, including some you may never have heard before.

Fishman is in her own right, a world-renowned artist, having received stellar reviews for her  performances at cabaret festivals around the world, including in NYC where she now lives full time.

After graduating from the Western Australia Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), Fishman received a Helpmann Award nomination for her role as 'Young Dusty' in Dusty, her first job out of school. Alexis performs extensively in cabaret and off-Broadway theatre. and in 2012 she was awarded the prestigious New York Music Theatre Festival’s 'Next Broadway Sensation'.
The songs and stories of Jewish/British songstress Amy Winehouse will be revived by Alexis  Fishman and her three-piece band on October 7th at Shir Madness Jewish Music Festival [Facebook] , and October 10th and 11th at Ginger’s, level 1 of The Oxford Hotel.   Tickets here.
