EX VOTO : AN EXHIBITION BY MADELEINE CRUISE @ GAFFA ART GALLERY

An offering made in fulfilment of a vow. This exhibition features the paintings and collages of emerging artist Madeleine Cruise.

It is about the role of ritual and habit in everyday life and the way these practices contribute to personal identity and purpose.

Madeleine is a National Art School Graduate currently based in Newcastle NSW.

Venue – Gaffa Art Gallery, 281 Clarence Street, Sydney.

Opening Night 17th August between 6 and 8pm.

Season- Between between the 17th and the 28th August.

RYGB GROUP EXHIBITION @ BRANDX GALLERY SURRY HILLS

RYGB is a group art exhibition taking place at Brand X Gallery in Surry Hills, presenting some of the most innovative and diverse artists working within the realm of low-brow for a heavily themed showcase.

The show centres around the colours red, yellow, green and blue, delving into eclectic styles and a range of ideas presented in mixed media, with work by over 35 artists.

Primary colours, morphing shapes, building blocks and portraits all feature. RYGB is curated by an exciting independent arts collective called Loser Unit, and presented by artist Zeke’s Lunchbox, bringing together a wide array of local and international artists including Iain Dean, James Cooper, Nick Nolan, Skulk and Anthony Iacomella to name a few.
