Sydneysiders are in for a very special treat  with next week’s release of the film JERUSALEM, in superb 3D and IMAX format, celebrating the world’s oldest and most sacred city.

The film sees three vivacious young Jerusalemites, one from each of the great faiths- Judaic, Christian and Islamic-  reflect on what it’s like to live in one of the world’s great cities.

Noted archaeologist Dr Jodi Magness communicates the excitement and passion she feels when she undertakes one of her digs to better understand a city which has been destroyed and rebuilt so many times over its 5,000 year history.

The cinematography is spectacular, in particular the aerial footage. We are taken inside the Wailing Wall, the Dome of the Rock, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and shown panoramic footage of the Jordan River, the Sea of Galilee and the mountain fortress of Masada.

Benedict Cumberbatch provides distinguished narration to this glorious film, written and directed by Daniel Ferguson, produced by Taran Davies, George Duffield and Daniel Ferguson, and executive produced by the late Jake Eberts.

Highly recommended, JERUSALEM opens at IMAX Darling Harbour, 31 Wheat Road, Darling Harbour on Thursday 10th April. Tickets can be purchased from the Box Office or www.imax,com.au.
