Now that you are ready to decorate your home and hang up some art work, here are some tips to help you decide what to buy.
This is an opportunity for you to brighten up your home and give it your unique character. When deciding which prints to choose, you should consider where you propose to hang them to give each room character and style.
The Living Room:
This is the heart and soul of your home and the room most frequented by your friends and family. The art prints can be conversation pieces, reflect your personality or some aspect of your past life, like travel or hobbies, or just be like wall-paper to cover blank spaces on the walls. The choice is yours. There is a vast variety of artwork to choose from, ie abstract or realistic, travel scenes of faraway places, sporting scenes with sailing boats or seascapes suggesting action and vitality.

The bedroom
You might consider something more peaceful and restful for the bedroom, or alternatively, something more exotic and erotic. It all depends on you and who shares your bedroom. You should also consider the space available to hang the print and whether you want one bold print to make a statement or several smaller prints to create the atmosphere you wish to achieve.

Children’s room:
This will be a place for fun, bright colours and perhaps have some element of learning for the child. But above all, it should be bright and cheerful. The print might be gender specific or gender neutral. This is up to you. Prints might have a subtle influence on your child.

The sunroom/family room:
Here you can really let your creative juices run free. Are you conservative, traditional, funky or adventurous? Do you want the family room to reflect your interests and past travel destinations? Are you a nature or animal lover? Do you want to portray this on your walls? Do you want to be a bit far out? Lots of your family and friends will spend time in your family room or sun room.

The dining room:
No matter for which room the print is intended, you should always consider the decor and colour scheme of the room in which the print will hang. Even if the room is traditionally furnished you can still hang an abstract print to make a statement, provided it generally blends in with the colour scheme. The good thing about prints is that you can change them if you change the colour scheme or style of the room.
